I always assumed she would not be performing (lowkey happy about it too)  due to filming but that kind of also took out the idea she would attend as well. Like why go at all if you are going to be the only nominee in your category to not perform and the only performer that is consistently talked about in regards to ratings? 
 

Don’t get me wrong it will be great to see her but I don’t understand why she is even attending at all if she isn’t going to be able to take the time to perform the work she is there for when that’s the main point for BOS.

Cuz her talent spreads to filming big arse movies? Tell me which one of the other nominees are on set filming one of the biggest movie expected to hit the big screens?

That literally has zero to do with this years awards. Her talents that are being honored are for music that she wrote and performed for Top Gun period. Her current schedule (regardless of what she is doing) not allowing her time to prepare for a performance of the work nominated makes me question why go at all. Just seems like an odd move.
 

And for those saying about the money to pause shooting, her being potentially nominated and performing could have and should have been discussed and scheduled long before filming began but apparently wasn’t prioritized or she’s changed her mind and decided not to perform for whatever reason.

She better not attend, this will be bad for her PR wise. It is already been like that in this thread alone, locals will think the same on "why did she attend but not performing?" i mean idk now that i think about it on the 10% chance she wins, i think not being there would be a bad look. i’m sure some locals will be a tad confused why she isn’t performing, but i can’t imagine people would be like CANCEL HER lol

I don't think it'll be bad for her. I mean, I hope people would be smart enough to understand that there's a difference between just showing up as a nominee and having to prepare for weeks for a performance when she's already filming her next movie.

I don’t know how likely we’d see them together, but for some reason I really want Gaga to interact with Brendan Fraser. Really random and I know most want her to interact with Rihanna, but I know they’d get along so well. Two equal rays of sunshine in the same room

Lord, no. We’ll get think pieces about what privilege she has to just show up and take the award without trying or some mess like that.

It makes sense imo, she doesn't want to appear rude by not going when she's invited, but she doesn't have time to prepare and rehearse a whole performance 

Maybe she will give out an award?
