Also idk how to feel about it younger me would have been so excited and fascinated by the science... cynical (or possibly just more informed?) adult me is concerned. We don't actually know what will happen once we do this, there can be so many unforeseen circumstances from bringing back and extinct creature and just plopping it into an ecosystem The article however does claim they will help to preserve the health of the arctic and be beneficial to the ecosystem... I guess we will find out from just doing it. I also worry that these experiments won't be done ethically... eg lots of mutant babies being brought to life and living horrible quality of life, or just straight up being killed The science is still fascinating... but concerning I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
