I like the flower one but others seem kinda meh, Nothing to do with Sam's size just the styling seems messy.

I guess I would challenge you to think about why weight is so disproportionately focused on if the biggest concern is actually just keeping people healthy and reducing the strain on the medical system.

For instance, why aren't people showing the same outrage at pop stars promoting alcohol brands, as they do with Sam showing their body? Alcohol has negative effects on our health and alcoholism is incredibly destructive. Gaga just did another endorsement for Dom Perignon and they're not the first alcohol brand she's promoted. But I've never seen anyone complain about it and show concern about the effect on public health -  rather, it's celebrated.

I would argue this is largely because our societal biases cause us to view alcohol as cool and trendy, and overweight people as unattractive.

100% to this, you've helped sway my view on the execution of this. I still think we need more messaging on making healthy actions (not necessarily being healthy) but media and representation aren't realistically going to negatively affect that variable. If anything, letting them be openly shown in the media could remove an anxiety that improves self-esteem and reduce the likelihood of them making unhealthy decisions because of low self-esteem.

Also want to restate that this isn't meant at Sam themselves, just mixed feelings that I had since Sam's physique is one example that's associated with the body positivity movement.

And 100% to the alcohol hypocrisy, good call out. If I was Gaga I wouldn't be promoting alcohol, though I guess my job as I've learned isn't to impose on others' actions. I wonder if other commentators have ignored that caveat.

Come on now, don't be a pvssy. Keep replying to the people calling you out. You stated your bigotry; stop being weak and stand by it. Or maybe you can't handle the consequences of it?

You ok? I don't feel the need at all to reply tbh. Yes, I admire bravery, free spirits and creative artistry (I mean I am a Gaga fan hello). But I am already tired of Sam doing the overexposed body promotion in a very unoriginal way. It's tiring. Next!

I can't BELIEVE that Gaga fans would display this kind of attitude and be so unaware of their own biases. Thankfully the people on the wrong side of this argument showed their true colors... :ohwell:
