I really don't get this. It's nice for him that he is comfortable in his plus size body, but why exaggerate it in your whole identity and image? It's so forced and tiring. :ohwell:

They’re making a statement about standards of beauty it’s not that hard to get.

My Name Isnt Alice

I'm all for this; it's time we realize how (unrealistic/statistically impossible) standards are only killing life, and how these standards are only motivated by a disillusioned sense of competition or lack of love. Thanks Sam :staymad:

Every red carpet, performance or imagery needs to be controversial around his body. Its repetitive and unoriginal imo.

It's a message worth repeating as long as society doesn't adjust.

Millions of people struggle with body image daily, even though plenty of celebrities and organizations try to prevent it. Sam is trying to share some of their newfound pride with those who are still struggling, and knows that change won't happen with just one red carpet appearance or magazine cover.

But also, let's flip the narrative: the main reason these images look "controversial", is because we still aren't used to seeing these body types in media presented in this way. It hasn't been normalized yet, so we very much need more exposure to it.

It's literally not every time tho. It's a handful of times and all in the same album era.

First of all, are you just trying to be confrontational, or are you just acting dense? Again, they*.

Secondly, what is it about their presentation frustrates you so much that you feel the need to spend your day letting strangers on the internet know how much you disapprove? Genuinely, what is it? I don't understand the need to badger on about something or someone that isn't trying to be harmful and has no impact on you or your everyday life whatsoever... they aren't seeking you out to intentionally piss you off. Just don't click on it if it bothers you so much, and go outside! Touch grass!

Thirdly, I love this photoshoot!

This is called an opinion. This is how I experience them. (excuse me for using the wrong pronounce, that was not intentional). Being in the public eye means you get a response on how you set yourself on the map. It not that deep. It's just the same old story with over sexualizing your body to promote your new image, it's unoriginal and boring.
