Ava Max: You’re never going to see me routine

I think her music is fun and she has a great voice but one thing that's really letting her down is her inability to acknowledge that Gaga is clearly her biggest influence. Worse, she refuses to acknowledge Gaga at all. At most, she'll say that she doesn't get the Gaga comparison. To say that she likes to be different and crazy onstage and then says that she's studied the best female entertainers out there and none of them are Gaga (who is the first mainstream female name you should think of when it comes to being crazy onstage and is one of the most acclaimed female performers of all time) is just too much at this point. I get why she might be taking the "don't bring it up and no one else will either" approach but its clearly not working and the more she avoids the obvious gets more and more awkward over time. I don't know where her PR team is when they allow her to say embarrassing statements like the ones here.

I like her music as much as I like your average, everyday synth-pop, but I wish she’d stop acting is if anything about her work thus far has been above the current industry standard.
