Now that I thought about it again, I remembered the bits of behind the scenes footage we got to see from the Flying piece she did with Robert Wilson. I think I've never even re-watched that once

Bloody Michael

Paparazzi and BR, i was around 8 - 9 yo, and to be honest is the reason why i started following Gaga, was so scared of her + the illuminati rumours and all of the mistery behind her back then. But to be more precise, those 2 videos were like scary asf, the suicide scenes from Paparazzi and the beggining of BR, and more than scary it was fascinating to 9yo old me cuz i keep watching and watching even if i had to pause between the videos.

That's interesting because I've always read comments about that part being scary, which I've never understood. Is it because of her figure standing still with that huge headpiece?

For me, it was the eerie background music and how she disappears with a flash that scared me the most, I literally choose to not watch the full video for years because of it

i don't know her

There was a brief period in late 2012 and early 2013, right before the discovery of her hip injury and the tour cancelation, that you could see how unwell she was. I think she was wearing it as a badge of honor, in some ways. She always carried herself in a 'Im a badass, even when I'm this exhausted' manner, but watching her health rapidly decline in real time while following the tour, that was hard. Especially after Princess Die, and her obsession with death and depression.

She really looks exhausted in that picture. How could she upload that to instagram and people not notice that something was wrong? I wasnt a fan back then, so i dont know what the general sentiment was. Weren t people backstage asking her ir she was okay?

When she did Dorito concert with Swine vomiting I thought at first that she had mental breakdown because of what happened in ARTPOPA era.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

It reminds me of this scary Illuminati sh1t and those flames.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

she deffo was, there's a moment when she's talking I think it's before swine when she is rubbing the back of her wrist on her forehead over and over and over again, that kinda scared me

That's the exact moment that pops into my head when anyone brings up the sxsw performance

Instagram was less "perfect" back then. Heavily filtered, yes, but imperfect. Plus a grungier aesthetic was the thing at the time. I think that's why it went under the radar.
