Sia made a whole album of rejects from big pop stars and it was an amazing album. Rihanna is just focused on makeup and family. That’s cool. But I believe she is deliberately edging her music fans in an effort to promote “Rhianna ™️ Products”. I’m a big Riri fan but that Super Bowl performance really changed my opinion of her. I don’t want to hear “oh but she’s pregnant” - it’s not about that. It’s about her actual effort and caring about her artistry. From Jay-Z as a feature to the Irreplaceable-inspired Take a Bow all the way to her urban songs like Pour It Up. So try to remember what happened with Beyoncé when she was trying to hype her return to music up back in 2012. She performed at the Super Bowl with most people expecting new music that she ultimately didn't release, went on tour and then released her surprise album. Rihanna might be doing the same. chromaticainmyhead 6,359 Posted February 16, 2023 Share Posted February 16, 2023 It's so weird for me on one hand I have always really enjoyed her music, her aesthetics and fashion and think it's mesmerizing that she always kind of hit the nail in the coffin with every album. She has been such a tremendous hit-maker that I grew up with. But on the other hand I know she's never been the main songwriting force behind her discography, and also from a producer perspective she had switched to almost every trend that was on the horizon and managed to benefit from extremely... I like her but she seems also to be a muppet to her creative teams where she gives the "go" and she could release an entire album filled with hits tomorrow just because she's Rihanna but from an artistic perspective her albums can't really dissolve the stain that they all are just simple money-making records and then I feel like maybe I'm just not enough of a fan to really dive deep and click with her creativity fan-tas-tique, chic, freak, slaaaay Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
