It's in a dark and dingy room, clearly not meant to look glamorous, and based on Phillip's previous Joker I'd be very surprised if they had Gaga with perfect make up/hair/etc. Not every film wants their actors to look their most attractive...it's the same with how Joaquin looks...a bit grimy and messy as someone above said. Anyone who actually paid attention to the first movie and the story they are telling would know this is about as far from the cartoon sex candy that Margot’s Harley could be. This real dirty, grimy, in your face rawness. I knew she was loosing weight but to see her look so haggard and crazy is insane. She is going to body this. I am shocked they didn’t alter her hair though because as a long time I have a hard time not seeing Joanne era vibes here. Usually her acting roles have completely different looks compared to her eras. I wonder if they shot in any particular order and if she is already “Harley” here and not his doctor anymore. I don't think they're going to change it. October is the perfect month for Oscar buzz movies and I'm more than sure this is going to push HARD for Lead Actor and Actress.
