But jokes aside there were rumors early on that Disney was investing more money on this series than it did on the Mandalorian and WandaVision, which had insane budgets. Mando and WV are both targeted towards "real" adults while this hits more of young adult. Disney has an extensive library of old shows for 3-12 year olds and Percy Jackson was always targeted at the 8-16 crowd. That's something the movies didn't understand and why they didn't do well.
