I wonder if Joe used to be that way...sort of normal, if somewhat conservative, and then just went full cuckoo around the time Trump came on the scene.

I am convinced that if we were to chat with either of them OFF camera, OFF tv, and in a private setting, they wouldn't be that bad. Or if they were, they would be more open in a private setting to discuss why exactly it is that they see things the way they do, and it could open the conversation to a more spirited debate.

I wonder why he couldn’t open the restaurant before? I always thought Gaga’s parents were very wealthy. Then again I don’t know anything about the restaurant business, and maybe he really couldn’t afford to open it himself and Gaga had to front the money.

He could probably afford to open it but would it be able to survive is the question. If Gaga wasn’t famous, I doubt the restaurant would have lasted long. The restaurant definitely capitalized on Gaga’s fame and I’m sure the huge majority of customers are  Gaga fans eating there solely for the novelty of it being owned by her family.

It is classic narc behavior—I have a relative who used to do the same exact thing and eventually a bunch of us just cut her off. I also wonder if Gag cut him off financially and this might be his passive aggressive way of getting back at her.  There seemed to be a period where it was mostly Cynthia, and she barely seemed to acknowledge him, although he went to the HOG premiere in NYC. IDK, I always thought it was odd that she took only her sister to the Oscars...seating is limited but I'm pretty sure she could have wrangled tickets for her parents (even if they didn't get to sit in the front row). Bradley Cooper had Irina and his mother at the time, after all.

is the relationship between gaga and her mom strained? i can never really gauge it
