StrawberryBlond 14,671 Posted February 6, 2023 Share Posted February 6, 2023 I'll say this much - I've noticed that it's very hard to get nominated if you're not a massive name or extremely obscure. Artists like Charli who are somewhere in the middle routinely get overlooked, even when they make critically acclaimed albums. It's like a box-ticking exercise to make sure all the major names don't get snubbed and also making sure that the little-known acts get their time in the sun but the ones in the middle get forgotten. It must be bizarre when your album get critically acclaimed and you don't get so much as a nomination yet see people with lesser praise get nominated over you.
