StrawberryBlond 14,891
It really is shocking that she's still missing a win under the big four. Her losing four AOTY nominations even when she's been commercially successful and praised is a massive blow. Bad Romance's failure to get any big 4 nominations, as was anything from BTW, was also strange. Shallow's bewildering snub from winning SOTY or ROTY despite it winning in other categories and other songs from the album also getting appreciated was bizarre. And ASIB's complete lack of AOTY nomination was one of the fishiest things I've seen in Grammy history. Let's be real, Shallow was her big chance to finally win in the big categories. It's hard to envision her ever getting a chance that gift-wrapped again. But then, stranger things have happened. I want to know the full story behind ASIB's lack of AOTY nomination. It had 7 nominations (across 3 different songs) and won 4 of those nominations. How can an album win 4/7 nominations but get no nomination for AOTY? Despite albums that literally won nothing get a nomination? I sometimes wonder if they just really didn't want her to win for some reason and deliberately shut her out. But anyway, I'm just grateful for any nomination and award she gets, it doesn't ultimately matter what category it is. I'd rather she continued to get minor awards occasionally for the rest of her career as opposed to winning AOTY and then never winning again afterwards. And that has happened to a lot of artists. Fearless i think deserved not arcade fire tho. It was a good album but??? Nah
Aga Gydal 3,158
She’s become more and more of a Grammy darling so I think her next album has a good chance of getting main category noms. As for AOTY, I think Gaga’s been considered to be more of a singles artist than an album artist by most critics. Chromatica was the first to really sell itself as a cohesive body of work (again, to non-fans). I think her most decorated work is yet to come and once she drops something that has big cross-over appeal, I think the Grammys will be ready to give her flowers.
