This is the one thing that keeps me from giving up on humanity. When disasters happen, we have the capacity to pull together and help out.

As it should be! Even Greece and Armenia helped despite hating Turkey 24/7 and being opposite in everything. But this goes to show that humanity can come first over geopolitics and power plays.

Things are getting worse, by the way. No help has reached to most of the people under rubble, so the death toll will most probably rise quickly these following days. It's cold and rainy in the region at the moment, and people are freezing to death. And all the government "people" do is lie about how many people got help, and say **** like "it's time to come together, it is not time for politics!!!".  Guess what, though. It IS time for politics because the government was warned for years that it was a critical region for an earthquake and they kept building **** not up to code. Even hospitals, which are supposed to survive, have been reduced to rubble, so people can't get medical help. Roads have been ruined, so help can't arrive on the ground. Airports have been damaged, so planes cannot land. The army - which is supposed to be one of the biggest - is nowhere to be found.

We have been paying a special tax (which is extremely high for many things we buy) for these occurences since the 1999 earthquake. That tax (and only that, not counting the others) brought 367 BILLION liras in revenue last year, to the government. And yet, they keep asking for people to help people, and when people ask "where is my ****ing money, then?", they are like "now is not the time for fighting!!!".

Ugh, sorry I'm ranting. I am so mad about all this.

And we live in a police state so I could be arrested for saying all this, for example, on Twitter.

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

Oh, the president just threatened us (as in, the people who are currently dying and are not content with the fact that the government has left entire cities to die) by the way. As one does.

Like, at this point I am beyond disgusted. I don't have words to convey how much I hate this government and all - literally all - of its supporters. Someone get me tf out of here.
