It’s horrifying. One of my students was rescued, but her family is still under rubble. I’m trying to reach out to people I know who have families in the region, and I don’t know if the fact that most have not answered is because they are just busy or because something terrible happened…

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

I live far, but even here people say they felt it. They are saying it’s a second earthquake and not an aftershock

We felt it across the country here. And yes it's  a whole new one. Sadly that's expected to happen as the plates are probably not stable just yet. I just hope that's the last of them because idk how much more damage Turkey and Syria can't take, this is already tragic.

This is very sad on so many levels (humanitarian, cultural etc)... I hope both countries will recover and receive support.

Omg I read the news this morning (3 hours ago) and it was 500 death, I just checked and now it's 1600! This is horrifying. I'm so sorry for all the victims and for the people who lost their homes...

Seeing the videos is even more horrific, such a catastrophe..

I don't know how accurate this map is but it looks credible.. apparently it was felt from Kuwait to Slovenia.
