Why are the girls not promoting at the Grammys?

So many of our faves have albums coming up or newish releases and yet none of them have performance slots confirmed yet. 
 

Pink, Shania Twain, Miley, Taylor, maybe Rihanna, Beyoncé, Adele all have music to promote so it seems like a missed opportunity to not perform at the ceremony. Unless they weren’t asked.

when you’re a star, more people are gonna see a tiktok you post (which is free to make) than a Grammy performance for which you spent days rehearsing and tons of money, maybe it’s that

In this day and age, that's just now you reach fans anymore. People don't tune into award shows like they used to. It's easier and more effective to reach an audience via social media.

Ppl don’t watch the Grammys anymore . They just google the winners and watch their favs performances

honestly all the awards shows are dying. its not suitable anymore since a lot of us dont have cable tv anymore.

As a lot have already pointed out, the Grammy's have lost a ton of relevancy when it comes to impacting business. It's simply not as profitable for already established acts to put all that time and money into a performance when SM apps do more promo that directly impacts consumption.

So the performances are still whatched what's ur point?

 

Personally I disagree with the idea that the Grammys have become an irrelevant source of promo as ppl still whatch highlights after online including performances

 

The live viewership may be a lot lower than it used to be but there's a lot of follow up. Remember Gaga's 2015 Oscar Tribute that got her so much attention? A lot of that was cuz it went viral online and ppl whatched it, the attention wasn't purely live viewers. I get grammy audience isn't quite as high as Oscars but still same idea

 

Grammys may not carry quite the same weight it did in like 2005 or 2010 but it's still very much relevant I think. The internet delayed viewership may not fully offset the decline in live viewers but it does partially

@Economy I agree, the performances definitely have impact and people will go to watch the performances online etc. 
 

The main issue is that the Grammys aren’t broadcast globally like The Oscars are and people don't watch cable tv as much so they are kind of forcing people to have to livestream. 
 

Maybe the Grammys should move to something like Netflix and they could introduce a live shows feature? Or they could broadcast on CBS for 24 hours and then put it on streaming afterwards.
