So tomorrow Ava Max can wake up and do a "response" to Bad Romance, calling Good Romance with the same chorus and that's it? Legit question, I love Miley. I just want to know how it works. It depends on whether a song is referenced or borrowed from. I personally agree that Bruno should be credited (and my guess is that his layers will step up and he will eventually be added to the credits, the way it happened with “Shape of You” and “good 4 u”), but I guess Miley could argue that “Flowers” doesn’t have the same melody, and doesn’t borrow anything from the song. I've seen people say "interpolation" which I'm not sure but it's similar to sample but a little different and may or may not need to credit the original artist depending how it's done But by "response" I think it means the lyrics.. Not quite the Midnight Sky banger slayage and personally I really love the loudness of PH, but nothing to dislike about this song. I love how it has the same meaning as Flowers by Marina.
