Miley Cyrus - Endless Summer Vacation (new album out March 10th)

Handstand is an eargasm for sure. I enjoyed the second half of the album better than the first. The best songs are Flowers, Handstand, Violet Chemistry, Island and Wonder Woman. 
 

This album is very cohesive and def has its own vibe. but I feel that Plastic Hearts was even more cohesive and surprised that Plastic Hearts won no awards.

I had very low expectations after Flowers but the album isn't bad at all. But it's also not great? It didn't really leave any memorable impression on me. Handstand, River, and Rose Colored Lenses are my top 3. But I'll need to listen again ofc. Plastic Hearts is definitely far superior on first listen. 

Also the features were highkey useless? I didn't even notice Brandi at first and Sia was barely there. The songs aren't bad by any mean but the features themselves didn't add anything to them.

I love the dream pop sound of the first half. That’s such a sweet spot for me. Overall, a cohesive album that I’m gonna be bopping for awhile.

A great album. Better than Plastic Hearts? No. But they’re very different and Miley always switches it up.

I hope this album gets a lot of attention and praise. Plastic Hearts definitely deserved it.

I really don’t like it the “vol. 1” thing.  It’s boring. I would rather just have brand new eras every time than just be waiting for a “vol 2”

Just finished it. At first listen there’s honestly not a single song I think it’s bad. my least faves are Island and Thousand Miles. might grow on me tho.

Jaded is my favorite album track so far. Everything is perfect imo, lyrics, vocals and production.

2nd fave Handstand gives me big Tame Impala vibes, I see a nod to Dead Petz which I love. Awesome.

Rose Colored Lenses and Violet Chemistry are next faves. Wildcard and You also come to mind. The rest is good too but not that instantly memorable at first listen. I heard people said Muddy Feet was bad and I thought it was actually good.

Overall solid interesting album. The singles are just excellent.

Overall a 7.8/10 grade for me AT FIRST LISTEN. The production is really sophisticated.

I listened to this on repeat almost exclusively all day yesterday and first thing today. I've come to the conclusion that I don't like Muddy Feet, which is less about not liking it as a song and more about it not feeling sonically cohesive with the rest of the album. It sticks out in a bad way for me and I always listen to albums in full rather than single songs.

With the Endless Summer Vacation and Plastic Hearts albums, Miley Cyrus has become a fine, mature and serious artist in my eyes. She has found her unique sound and style.

I really like the visuals of the ESV: the album cover and music videos are minimalisticly gorgeous.

I really hoped that ESV would have included bangers from beginning to end, but I ended up liking only half of the songs. Anyway, ESV is a great, cohesive album with great songs, and it really made me dig Miley.

Besides Flowers, I love Jaded, You, River, and Violet Chemistry. River is my current favourite.
