Dua had a very strong start with New Rules and the hit with Calvin Harris in the United States before future nostalgia, so it gave Dua a stronger entrance into her second era. While Ava has had some hits, they haven’t been anywhere as massive in the United States. I can’t speak for her success in Europe and Asia because I wouldn’t know. Either way, Ava’s debut album was good but nothing groundbreaking by any means. So far based from the snippets I’ve heard, diamonds & dancefloors sounds like it’s going to be a very good album, but I’d have to listen to all the songs in entirety to really be able to say. With that being said, If Ava isn’t bringing something very new or different to the table, I don’t see this era being as huge as future nostalgia. I do wish Ava luck, though. Eras as big as Future Nostalgia don’t come often for pop girls, let’s be honest, I wonder even if Dua herself will be able to maintain that level of success or even surpass it with her next release.
