Of all of Lady Gaga's back catalogue, what is, in your opinion, her most underperforming song?

I'll start - Marry The Night. How this song wasn't as big as Bad Romance is beyond me. I think it is literal genius. Should have been number one all around the world. It needs its Bloody Mary treatment at some point.

Perfect illusion. It was the lead single from her first pop album in three years and the promotion consisted of radio interviews about being “my fathers daughter” and how social media is fake lol

She's always talking about her family in her interviews ever since TFM era. Look back at old interviews and she's always talking about her dad her mom Joanne her sister.

Yeah it was so weird, because everyone knew about her and Taylor and she tried to sell it as an Anti-Social Media anthem LOL

PI, MTN, G.U.Y., SL

Million Reasons should have just been the lead from Joanne it feels like it was anyway with the way things turned out. PI obviously just completely underperformed and then MR came in and got at least moderate hit for the era and a million performances.

She was too overexposed when MTN came out. Anything was doomed. She needed that “blackout” thing she did for a few months.

Obviously everything was just too messy when G.U.Y. came out and that was doomed.

Stupid Love seemed intentionally given up on.

PI, i don't get why the promo was just not there for the lead single

maybe she wanted MR as the lead but the label insisted on PI so she just did the bare minimum until it was time for MR

mother, what must i do?

Bonkers

Marry the Night had some annoying production elements.  Sorry, but it did.  It just didn't have mainstream radio appeal.

I'd say the song she tried to make happen, but just couldn't make work was Gypsy.  That one was pop radio candy.  It takes no effort to listen to it or appreciate, it should have been pop gold.

UPDATE:  I just listened to Marry the Night again, and I really like it, but I agree with my point.  It's that harpsichord/electric piano especially in the beginning.  It's grating and annoying.   Take that out and the song would be 100 times better commercially received.
