Also some producers like to share what they’re working on with other producers, friends etc which can put demos in circulation… I don’t think Marc really done that with Joanne.

He said let’s keep this sh*t on the low and pretend it never happened. :air:

It sounds like it was an entirely different writing process than other albums. It does seem like the way everyone working on the album so closely had to do with it.

I’m a little disappointed in the Joanne hater trolls here. Not because I don’t expect them, but can’t they be a little more creative? 🥱😴

Sadly, no. They'd rather be brazenly disrespectful about someone's art than make their own.

I will never understand the fan logic that the demos are somehow better lmao I honestly can only think of one that I genuinely think is better

Right

They'll say the same thing if it's the other way around LMAO

It has always been like this, unfortunately. They're just plain disrespectful and annoying. The Dead Aunt joke that has been going around for quite sometime now whenever a Joanne thread opens up is one of those examples that haters of the album are the worst, are demeaning, and have horrible sense of humor.

And yes! I agree that the writing process is a lot different from her other album it seems (I think Five Foot Two gave us a glimpse of the process for Joanne).

Agreed. It just seems like if it were a joke they’d try to be funny, and if it were an opinion they’d try to be respectful. But Joanne Hater comments are usually neither funny or respectful.

they have... and they showed that Gaga hasn't written the songs she was credited for

Why? Because Father John Misty is singing in the demo? That doesn’t mean she wasn’t a writer on it.

of course... makes perfect sense..... that's why there are all these other demos of her writing partners singing her demos.

Keep dreaming. Big pop stars get writing credit for just recording the song. It's been like this with Madonna, Beyonce, and it's the same with Gaga.

Father John Misty described how the writing sessions with Gaga were different from normal, and it was a very relaxed atmosphere where they all just hung out until 5am and wrote.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they came up with it together and he recorded it. I know that’s not normal but it sounds like neither was any of the process.

But I wasn’t there. Maybe you’re right 😊♥️.

Lol. Gaga writes majority of her work. Come To Mama was one of the first she's had another song writer do a complete demo like that. Plus they wrote it together. Gaga changed a lot of lyrics, plus she incorporated many harmonies, and helped produce the final record into what it was.

Just because she didn't completely produce it (like Venus) doesn't mean she didn't contribute equally if not more, to the completion.
