But artists with greater longevity tend to have an audience that is stalwart in supporting them that generates high streaming numbers out of the gate. It's part of what ensures their continued success. The fact that the hits from Cuz I Love You were not even from that album whereas the intended singles "Juice," "Tempo," etc. stalled and the fact that she has yet to launch a second hit off Special all cause me some concern. There have been artists on top of the world for about two albums who all but vanish after their third album does not generate any hits and underperforms. I think About Damn Time is one of the best, most infectious, flat out fun pop songs in eons. She's also done enough promo to where I feel like I'm getting to know her as a person (I realize that might sound silly, but you get it). Looking at what’s on the horizon, she might be ready to snatch the crown right back in 2023.
