TheProfessor 289
But you see in that hypothesis, you're disregarding the chronology of events. The only reason Sharon's letter could be perceived as "justified" (not by me) is because Gaga took a stab at Kelly first. but kelly took the first stab to all our fanbase in generalizating it by some fans behave
Joe Matthews 11
Hypocrisy is preaching one thing while believing and actively practicing another. Hypocrisy is not simply the occasional failure to live up to the standards one has set for oneself. So where do you draw the line? When does your opinion change from "She's just being human" to "She's disregarding everything she stands for and therefor being a hypocrite"? misanthrope 15
To me it seemed really condescending, haughty, and veiled insults galore. Just because it didnt say something doesnt mean thats not what she was saying i think...im getting confused. we are making a bigger mole out of a ....whatever that phrase is. Veiled insults galore from both parties. Which is why no one should take sides here, its an odd situation. And was Kelly not being "haughty" with her statements against Gagas fanbase and against Gaga not walking the red carpet at the Grammys? I mean its pretty uppity and bold to say she was disrespectful and snobbish just because she didn't walk the red carpet. She certainly wouldn't have said that about Madonna or Katy Perry. But thats neither here nor there. Edited January 11, 2013 by misanthrope
HANZ 4,380
LMFAO this part written by gaga Your work on E! with the Fashion Police is rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people's beauty against one another. “Appearance†is the most used reason for bullying in the world. Your show breeds negativity, and over the years has even become comedic in nature. It glorifies you and Joan Rivers pointing in the camera, laughing, and making jokes about artists and celebrities as if we are zoo animals. drag the b---h My Favs = Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin, AKB48

She made it a public issue. She used thinly veiled insults. She was generalizing. I'm not taking a side, but im just saying. Gaga didn't do this out of the blue. They're both at fault here for being condescending and as another user put it "haughty".

marrytheknight2012 0
Veiled insults galore from both parties. Which is why no one should take sides here, its an odd situation. THe other main scheme is that the veiled insults made Gaga a hypocrite and the fact that she used the Born This Way foundation as a crutch while being a hypocrite made it all worse, for me. Shes not the Patron Saint of Bullied Kids, shes a popstar who uses that stuff to sell albums tbh...when it comes down to it.
Joe Matthews 11
but kelly took the first stab to all our fanbase in generalizating it by some fans behave Apart from the generalization, was she wrong? Is it not justified to call someone "out of hand" or "vile" after they've sent you death threats and telling you they hope you get raped and die? Kelly took a stab at Gaga first. I think thats what you're not understanding. She made it a public issue. She used thinly veiled insults. She was generalizing. I'm not taking a side, but im just saying. Gaga didn't do this out of the blue. They're both at fault here for being condescending and as another user put it "haughty". Is Kelly the first person to have ever mentioned Gaga's name (or her fans for that matter) in a bad way? Why attack Kelly and not other people who have said the same thing. If I do recall correctly, Porcelain Black has said the same thing Kelly did about Little Monsters after they threatened and attacked her on Twitter. And besides, what part - besides the generalization - of Kelly's comments was false? Was She wrong for defending herself against death threats and calling those people out for what they are, which is vile and disgusting?

Kelly and Gaga love each other.. its this fan base that needs to grow the **** up! More like Sharon O needs to grow up. She's been the aggressor in more than one feud, and her stupid hating on Gaga will make it hard for her daughter to achieve her stated objective. . I hardly find it that hypocritical of her to respond to that negatively. But im not going to sit here and defend her. Its of no use.

Sara 1,128
So where do you draw the line? When does your opinion change from "She's just being human" to "She's disregarding everything she stands for and therefor being a hypocrite"? It's a fuzzy line, no doubt, because you can't tell what's in a person's head. As long as Gaga believes the things she says, then she's not likely a hypocrite, unless maybe she messed up a LOT. But she hasn't messed up a lot. She has been a fine example. Most people I know throw more shade in a week than Gaga does in a year. :) A true story: I knew a girl who was hooked on meth. She warned everyone else to not do meth, but she still did meth. Was she being a hypocrite? I don't believe so, because I think she's really just telling everyone to save themselves and not fall into the trap she's in.
