misanthrope 15
Yeah, I think shes full of ****. I didn't go that far earlier, Ive thought she's been full of **** since the Lindsay Lohan thing. her judgement insnt exactly the best. From Gaga's letter to kelly we can surmise that Gaga also promotes marijuana use since she went out of her way to show her fans that she smokes pot... And Kelly isn't full of **** though? Kelly was the one to make it a public issue in the first place by constantly making thinly veiled insults towards Gagas character as a role model and generalizing this fanbase multiple times on national television. Why is all the blame on Gaga and none of it towards the fact that Kelly was ALSO being a hypocrite? Thats what im failing to understand about your point of view. You seem more turned off by Gaga therefore spinning this entire mess against her as opposed to ACTUALLY being objective as you claim to be. Sara 1,128
Conflicting, is it not? In a way this letter represents Gaga's attitude over the past year or so. Saying one thing and doing another. Saying one thing, and then blatantly contradicting herself. Again, that's what hypocrisy is. Hypocrisy is saying one thing while willingly doing the opposite. A letter that goes back and forth addressing the good and the bad is not hypocrisy. It's a well thought out discussion showing both sides. "Here are the good things you do. Here are the things you could change."
TheProfessor 289
I'm a fan of the work and the fashion but not what comes out of her mouth, I think I made that clear. Half of the people here aren't fans, just obsessed. yeah ur the only good one here tbh :bleh: sarcasm

misanthrope 15
A disgusting mocker? They were hardly the first ones to parody her meat dress or her persona for that matter. They made her give birth to a shellfish and then had her torn apart gruesomely by lions. I'm sorry that you find that to be respectable mocking. craig 680
The NME tweet was a year or so ago, but again, this was during the time she was spreading the BTW message. She slammed them and their credibility, only because her album was on their "Worst Albums" list and mentioned her saying it was going to be the album of the century. Wrong! She laughed at their hypocrisy for calling BTW pretentious, when they are know as a musically pretentious pro-indie anti-pop mag. She already did an interview with them which they spun in a slightly negative way, but she said nothing then. RAMROD 107,702
We have been warned about irresponsibilities that may come in our way during the ARTPOP time. And this feud seems to be amalgamated that impression now. Though i think she never meant it that way, it was just a kind reminder, which taken differently to whom it may concern. Joe Matthews 11
She never directly shaded Madonna. The NME criticism wasn't bullying. You're so.....you're viewing this completely one sided. You're talking about fans being delusional here but in all honesty you're the one whos failing to be objective. You're putting every inch of blame on Gaga and while I understand your point of view you're really not right in this instance. Your argument is incredibly flawed. Yes she did. I'd show you the videos to prove it, but I honestly don't have time to memorize when she said what and which BTWB. The NME criticism was uncalled for. It's not because someone provokes you that you have to respond by insulting them. I'm not putting every inch of blame on Gaga, because I've admitted earlier on in the thread that Sharon's actions were redundant and were only putting fuel on a fire. But let's disregard what Sharon did for just a second. The point I'm trying to make here is that both our arguments are flawed. You can't say she's an angel sent from the heavens who never bullies or insults anyone, and I can't say she's the opposite. That's exactly why her behavior is nothing short of hypocritical. At the end of the day I'm enlarging her bad side, while you're doing the same for her good side. The truth is that it is Gaga's fault this time. This would've never even made it onto this site or other news sites around the world, had Gaga not written the open letter. This is all just redundant drama. My message to Gaga would be "Pick a side and stick to it. Don't flip sides whenever you feel it suits you best"

Its when she says something that I find haughty that I get upset with her. I've said before, I usually play the devil's advocate. Everyone is blaming it on Kelly here etc etc, deflecting away from the real issue...the fans, not Gaga, not Kelly and not Sharon. THE FANS are the problem. The other reason, I don't think Kelly did anything wrong in this situation. She said something unflattering about Gaga on tv...and fans went nuts, thats not right. She has the right to talk about something but nobody has the right to ridicule you constantly and tell you to kill yourself. I think Gaga should have posted an open letter to the fans and left Kelly out of it. Gaga is smart and she surely knew Sharon would come for blood by insulting her daughter. Woolfsmck 2,763
I guess it comes down to whether you think celebrities should directly contact their fanbases or ignore it because they don't have an obligation to do so. I wish that Gaga along with other high profile artists, would address their fan bases actions a little bit more often and publicly. To me, fans go over the line to show their support by attacking competing artists. Kelly's criticism of Gaga's fanbase as well as the format of her show needed to be answered publicly. I don't think shes entirely at fault here so I must be a delusional that fails to be objective. Such a load of crap......the truth is none of this would have happened had Kelly never taken it upon herself to make several public statements about Gaga needing to control her fans. Which is a ridiculous thing to ask in the first place, but should Gaga have written an empty letter to her fans to appease the obnoxious generalizing loudmouths that seem to think its Gagas responsibility to slap the wrist of every single one of her fans that has ever said anything negative about someone famous online? Probably. As for Madonna, you're wrong. She made one statement in regards to Madonna using Born This Way on her tour, which was essentially this "people try to bring me down and make a mockery of my work, why cant we all stop shading each other, we don't have to be James Blunts". Is there hypocrisy there on her part? Yes. But its hardly an aggressive attack against Madonna, its a statement against her unnecessary provocations. It's a few crazy people who are fans. And it's unfortunate human nature to blame a whole group for the actions of a few of its members. And the Beatles should be ASHAMED for what Charles Manson did in their name. ;)
