It's obviously their Future Nostalgia/Teenage Dream era. COVID 19, Delta, Delta Plus, Omicron, etc. just to name a couple of hits and the era is still going as we speak with it's re-releases. Of course it's a flop if we compare it to Black Death but that was a SEVERAL AGES ago and the industry has changed since then.

It still would have slayed in today's era. U know what the death rate would be for bubonic sickness with today's technology? Still extremely high

 

But true the industry has changed. A plague like that spreading in the first place is unlikely now.
