Why would she even need child support though?

Well, technically speaking the way the law puts it, she isn't getting it.

Child support is the legal right of the child, not the parent who receives it. If the court decides that a parent needs to make child support payments based upon the custody agreement, the parent does not hold the right to waive those payments. Even though she is wealthy, the court does not view it as her sole responsibility to financially care for the children. It takes two people to have a baby, and the law mandates that both do their part to raise the children.

Payments are decided based upon income. Based on this payment being extremely high, whatever documents they provided seems to have indicated that Kanye makes more money so he's paying a higher price for childcare.

Not me thinking that they’ve been back together since her and Pete split

She would never. He's terrible for her brand now, which is probably the main reason she married him in the first place was because it be a good look for her and also he wasn't batshit crazy yet and respected. Once he had a downfall, she rightfully kicked him to the curb as anyone with a brain would do. Pete's D >>>

I'm guessing the money will go in a trust or something for the kids when they are 18? Idk. She obviously doesn't need any support from him.

Аa if they’ll need this. I can bet my arse that Kim’s kids are more than 50k a month. I can imagine Kim buy north a birkin or smth like that.

really weird to see rich people undergo child support stuff but i guess it's a legal way to make sure the parent who isn't the main carer pays their fair share :ladyhaha:

Yes is based in certain percentage from the income of the spouse that is order to pay. So if they have to pay 3% of their paycheck and they make $100 a month then the child support would be $3 a month, if they made $1000 it would be $30 and so on…

Which makes nonsense sometimes, because it should be capped on needs and not percentages. Like how much a kid needs monthly to be fed and be clothed…

Do you know if they calculate it before tax or after? And is child support taxed?
