You believe people should be allowed to misgender people, post transphobic things, and spread misinformation that harms the LGBT community as a whole. Yes or no. I support freedom of speech because if you’re a CEO of a company and you use a racy slur on your media handles— you deserve to say what you need to say in order to deserve/warrant correction/ridicule from the masses. If these behaviors and beliefs are never corrected they are hidden and often emphasized even further behind the curtains. Censorship prevents opportunity for correction. I don't give a f*ck about freedom of speech when it comes to things like this, I don't want people to have the freedom to harass me or any trans person, trans people have died because of this. Indeed, Freedom of speech is not freedom from moderation, and freedom of speech is not freedom of consequences for engaging in certain types of speech (harassment, bullying, trolling, spamming, etc.). Even hard core free speech advocates support Alex Jones getting sued for spreading the lie that Sandy Hook was supposedly faked (it wasn’t!).
