For example, I follow some Math accounts that post interesting stuff, and I made some online "friends" that I really liked to read, plus I could find out there about news from some more niche areas (in my case, Catalan dubs of series). Truly superior. And you can use the filters to keep out stuff you specifically don't like I used to follow so many people on Tumblr and then that was obliterated overnight I had dozens of favourited videos on the hub and then they deleted 90% of their content overnight and there was like 5 videos left and if Twitter disappears too...
