I mean, how is he going to go back to just battling randos every week? This series felt like a swan song. His team being filled with long wished-for Pokemon, him finally being League Champion last series, now the highest ranked trainer in the world. Plus the title of the upcoming episode... All of Ash's previous Pokemons making an appearance even the ones he left or traded made me cry ugly tears. I started watching this show when I was like 6 and now 23 years later, Ash is finally the World Champion!
