I feel it's just a general apathy about politics and elections lol. A disproportionate amount of non-voters are the youngest eligible to vote. (

1) Technically it's on a weekday and not a national holiday to give people time off to vote. Technically they have a lot of time to vote early, drop-off boxes or via mail but people just don't bother. Heard some lame excuses about how they don't have postage stamps to send it via mail before.

2) People will say that their vote doesn't count because they're in a heavily democratic/republican district so there's no point.

3) Both side-ism are equally bad, etc, etc so i'll just stay out of the election altogether. Imagine there's 10 people on the bus and the bus driver wants you to choose between driving off a cliff and to the nearest Kanye concert. 3 people vote to drive off the cliff and 2 decides for the concert, the other 5 would rather not vote and everyone ends up off a cliff.

I have never understood people who can vote but decide not to. These people don't read any news, don't know what's going on in the world, and don't really care about any important issues, I presume. If you are not going to vote, please explain it to me.
