The simple fact of the matter is that people only have so much free time, and attention to listen to music. 

Hopefully Carly can sustain longevity this era, and reach the listeners who passed her over, or forgot about the release, in favor of Taylor. Imagine working 2 years on a project just to find out, at the last minute,  that the biggest release of the year is happening the same day.

I have a bit of a chip on my shoulder for Ava, as well. No one can convince me that she didn't delay her album because of Taylor releasing one week after the original scheduled date.

Cuz Megan has been a judge on American tv shows & is very palatable to the gp (and kids) whereas carly is Canadian and more popular with pop fans & gays… Carly obv deserves more imo

Interesting. First Meghan won the Grammy. Carly was thought to be a one-trick pony. Then Meghan stopped drawing attention and Carly became a niche act with a fanbase. Now Meghan is charting higher than Carly.

Doubtful. Most people don't even know she is still sing or that EMOTION exist. She is only relevant to the gay twattir fans these days.
