Kanye says Jewish doctor misdiagnosed him with Bipolar disorder

In a new podcast interview with MIT research scientist Lex Fridman, Kanye West made yet another series of incendiary and false statements about the Holocaust, abortion and the Jewish people. 

In recent days, West has been dropped by a number of brands and by his talent agency due to his longform stream of anti-Semitic commentary. He claims his being dropped proves his point that Jews are controlling the media and seeking to silence him. He added that it was a Jewish doctor who he believes misdiagnosed him will bipolar disorder in 2016 and attempted to medicate and control him 

At one point West suggests a Jewish conspiracy led him to being diagnosed with a mental illness. “There was a Jewish trainer that brought me to the hospital, and put in [the] press that I went to the hospital. A Jewish doctor that diagnosed me —"

“Why do you keep saying Jewish?” Fridman interrupted. “Because they were,” West said. He continued: “Diagnosed me with bipolar disorder and shot me with medication. Then put it in the press.”

West accused Ari Emanuel, chief executive of William Morris Endeavor, of “trying to take food out of my children’s mouth,” by writing an op-ed in the Financial Times calling for companies to cut ties with the rapper.

In an impromptu press conference with paparazzi on Friday, Kanye said: "It was a Jewish doctor that misdiagnosed me as having a disorder, that would've had me on medication right now... one pill could've been swapped out, and it would be Michael Jackson or Prince all over again. . But because I didn’t take the medication, I am able to speak to you guys clear of thought and transparently”:

He isn't taking his medication so he's obviously having extreme episodes of mania (doesn't excuse his behavior and what he's saying). I hope he gets the help he needs asap.

I was really disappointed in Lex Friedman, who I'm generally a supporter of, for giving Kanye a platform on this episode. From what I could stomach to listen to, it was tense (Lex is half Jewish), extremely uncomfortable, and just off-putting.

I understand not wanting to take his medication but he really should seek some sort of treatment. I'm not plainly trying to sympathize with him because his statements the past couple of weeks have been so fvcking harmful, but I also understand how mental illness can warp someone's reality.
