Evil R 1,084
It seems like she didn't use the clown emoji for the artists she mentioned. She used it for haters/media. Update:

llemesm 1,186
Madonna is the type of entitled person that thinks she owns your whole existence. She thinks she own the carreer of all the pop girls who dared to talk about sex in their music. WTF what a narcissistic behaviour.

But let's be honest, the core of the message was totally true. She, Grace Jones, Cher and so on paved the way to the female artists being free and powerful in their art. Rihanna, Gaga, Cardi, Nicki, Katy, Miley and much much more had to fight to get their place in the business of course. But let's not pretend Madonna didn't help to pave the way for female artists to have a voice in music industry. She did. Amongst others. That’s the thing I can’t stand though, she gets credited for being a trailblazer constantly, and definitely more so than the other women you mentioned. It blows my mind that she clearly thinks she isn’t credited enough when honestly I think her contributions to women in music are exaggerated, at least in comparison to the women who are left out of the conversation. She acts like she invented female empowerment and music itself building a daydream

She acts like she invented female empowerment and music itself I think it more so is her reacting to all of the hate that she has received. She has gotten (and still gets) a lot of it. I almost feel like she still is not over much of the hate that she received during Erotica. I won't judge her on that because everyone handles things differently, but that's just how I see it personally. he/him/his
MonsterofFame 1,780
Funny how Madonna never thanks the woman who paved the way for her... Marilyn Monroe. She acts like she's the first female to become a sex icon.
Nathaniel Arven 1,633
Kate Bush paved the way for all the female pop star singing and dancing. Bowie paved the way for all the "reinvention artists" who "use their body" as a canvas (words for : I'm wearing things you can't afford, never twice)... Debithius 5,685
I am looking at some of these posts and I wonder what this has to do with race all of a sudden? Although I agree with Cardi, you can't drag someone just for the sake of them being white. It doesn't bring any value to your arguement in this situation. RudraCNG 14,388
I'm sorry but I understand Cardi and some of you should put in her shoes. Imagine paying homage to one person and only saying nice things about her just to learn she publicly said you should be more grateful to her for your whole career. HEARTSTOP 3,137
Everyday I think more and more that Madonna did the things she did in the past more as a troll move to society, just to draw attention in shocking ways, than to actually help the causes she supported/used to gain support. Either that, or she totally lost it over the years. IDGAF

Her Sex Book fundraised money for AIDS research for instance. We know how AIDS was seen in 90s.
