Its so bizarre to me how people devour everything she releases :bear: I genuinely for the life of do not get the appeal and everyone in my life is on the same page, its hard to even believe how much of a devoted fanbase she has.

She has that fanbase because she has never wavered in her relationship with her fans. No matter what changes she goes through artistically, she never alienates anyone who’s supported her, and she’s always right there with us along for the ride.

The level of interactivity she’s injected into her career is astounding. All of these theories fans create don’t come from nowhere, she’s built this lore and reputation around herself that means there is always something to dissect and explore. But crucially, if you don’t want to dig into theories and lore, then you can still listen. Her music is accessible to people who have no clue that she is obsessed with the number 13 or may not catch references to older songs or events.

People ride the whole “lol how does her music connect with people” thing all the time but never stop to pay attention long enough to see that her music connects because she works tirelessly to build the bridge between herself and her audience. She makes these diary entry like personal songs, but then reaches out to invite her fans to come along and experience those things with her.

No artist is touching her success these days because no other artist is putting that kind of time and work in. It’s that simple.

I appreciate the first three paragraphs but you can’t genuinely think “no other artist is putting that kind of time and work in”… like, girl :laughga: There is an entire universe outside of mainstream pop… her success is not due ENTIRELY to her hard work. Some artists are out there working multiple jobs and making art in the ten minutes of free time they have to try and make it in the industry, I’m sure she works hard but lets not pretend she doesn’t have endless resources at her fingertips.

I don’t disagree, with you.

I should have clarified, I’m not discussing all artists from any bracket, I’m talking exclusively about artists who occupy the same bracket she does. The Arianas, Gagas, Adeles, and Duas.

None of her peers are putting in the level of work and time she is would’ve been the better thing to say because it’s true. No one else at her level is taking this approach.

@Regina George No my attitude is not hateful. I'm not a fan of TS last album and the reasons are mostly technical. No hate or bitterness about it. This forum is a place where everybody is free to express his/her own opinion. When I have something to say I don't take particular gloves to say it. Some people like it that way, some don't. This also is a matter of opinion.

So many folk say the dislike  Taylor and the new album… but they sure spend a lot of their time on the Taylor threads. :iamfair:

I always say, if you don’t like it, why waste time talking about it. You ain’t gonna change peoples opinions. Is all good.

Im not a fan of Haus Labs and I learned that staying away from those threads was the best. I let the fans enjoy Haus labs.
Lots of more new music to support. All is good.

Yeah. OK. Seems obvious. But they are many visual concepts possible with Midnights. Four time the same album ? (I know, the colors, the pictures...). I'm still puzzled about this marketing strategy besides the obvious cashgrab.

Yes . Reputation is my personal favorite as well.

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

I don't know what there is to be puzzled about, personally.

The physical sales market exists solely on the basis of finding a way to make the physical copy worthwhile. Target Editions having a bonus song, color variant vinyls, unique covers, this clock puzzle. It's literally the only way to push physical media these days and the reason for it is because most people purchase physical media for their collectible value. People like to collect records, so why not make it to where if they're going to be buying things for collection purposes, given them options?

Gaga had multiple versions of Chromatica on vinyl to purchase. Olivia had multiple versions of Sour on vinyl to purchase. Adele had multiple versions of 30 on vinyl to purchase. It's literally the standard in the business to have multiple versions, Taylor is just making it more interesting by actually making the different versions have some purpose beyond just being a different version.

Thank you. And non vinyl collectors don’t understand the value of vinyls. Example Madonnas Finally Enough love 6 vinyl edition sold for 159 bucks. Is now worth 400. Folk like to collect vinyl. It’s a hobby
