Babes, yes it does because world tours bring in massive $$$ from Europe as well (especially France) and her being a "who?" for most Europeans surely isn't all that impressive compared to other acts that do well everywhere. Ronaldo is a huge name outside of the US and Canada but Bieber is still the bigger star because he's famous everywhere.

This 100%. I wonder if Renaissance would have done better without BMS.

Garth Brooks sold more records than Whitney Houston in the US. That doesn't make him more famous than Whitney in Europe, Latin America and Japan. Taylor is basically the Garth Brooks of today. She's absolutely NOT a bigger star than Gaga when Gaga is famous in every country in the world despite not breaking records in the US anymore. Nobody in here said she’s a bigger star then anyone else. taylor is selling albums like no other artist in the current US market. The biggest and most lucrative in the world. That’s it. Most American artists make significantly less per ticket there than they do in the US/Canada. Taylor recoups that money by stopping by less popular markets like Louisville, Columbus, and Cleveland. She’s absolutely fine not getting any love from Europe when she receives twice as much from the US compared to other contemporary touring acts. If Taylor were playing it safe she would have stayed in that lane like so many artists that come out of Nashville. Instead she chose to develop to where she is now. Crossing from country to pop is rarely successful, and she has had so much **** to deal with it to get here. Sure, her risks are calculated and not always obvious. But you gotta give it to her for where she is now.
