Unfortunately, it did not :/

the tour did!  The looks were amazing and the setlist was cute.

but the album and era as a whole, unfortunately lowered the bar for me …

I mean come on, Gaga has TFM and BTW under her belt …

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

If we're talking about the music, it all comes down to personal tastes and how you think it fits into the industry. It's hard to talk about the era itself though because very little actually happened compared to her other albums (obviously due to COVID). If it had more visibility, and a better lead single choice, maybe the impact would be different.

Although chromatica is not my favourite, I do think that the production is an improvement.

So I‘d be happy to see that on future albums :)

Gaga raised her own bar and I don't feel Chromatica had to prove anything or set trends, tbh: besides being a deeply personal album for her mental healing and whatever, it showcased Gaga's greatness once again so she's staying untouched in the legends realm

I think the production is the weakest point on the album tbh. Followed by the lyricism which was a step down, creatively, from albums like TFM, BTW, and ARTPOP.

In fact, I think the only thing Chromatica did better than any other Gaga album was make money

Still solid though and I'd pay double to go to TCB for a fourth time just for Enigma alone :bradley:

No, it didn't. It's a good album, one of my top 3 from her, but did very little in terms of advancing her forward artistically and it certainly made no noise outside of her own fanbase.
