QueenMortuana 1,032
Vigilante Sh** just sounds like a Disney villain song about how a good person became bad.
ALGAYDO 30,627
Finally got done with the whole album (3am version) and I gotta say, it’s a good album, but I feel like people are praising it so much just because it’s a Taylor Swift project? Like, the songwriting isn’t as amazing as people are making it out to be, imo. And the overall production is kinda bland? It’s not a bad album at all, it’s actually pretty good, but nowhere near as great as people are claiming it to be. Definitely her weakest “pop” album imo. Even Lover had much better production
Anderson123 36,265
I just listened to the 3 am version from start to finish (second time listening to the standard) and I do like the flow from Lavender -> Maroon -> Anti-Hero -> Snow on the Beach and even Kid, Midnight Rain and Question are good songs but after that I lost interest. I don't even remember what the rest of the album sounds like so this is like Positions again where most of the tracks are samey. Maybe with a couple more listens I'lll be in the mood for this but it was the same problem I had with Folklore and Evermore, it's a long listen to something that doesn't go from the same type of stuff. It's a mix of 1989, Reputation and Lover with a little bit of Folklore and Evermore but more on the Getaway Car, Don't Blame Me, Delicate, August chill songs, no Blank Space or Style and obviously no Shake It Off or Me! but still nice, it's a grower. That metacritic score is way too high I think.
impeach92 243
So I listened to the whole thing front to back, not the 3am version. I think 2 or 3 tracks I’ll listen to again, but for all it’s promo, it’s just boring tbh. So many tracks felt like they were gonna go somewhere, or explode and then they were anticlimactic. I like Jack Antonoff, as both an artist and producer, but it just gets old after awhile. Maybe others feel the same way, but the music world and industry right now is so uninspired. You can thank Tik Tok for some of that. I just want new music that makes me feel something.

To be fair critics have always been biased and sometimes they're way too harsh, especially decades ago. I just think it's funny what stan culture and social media has done to this now lol. DawnofChromatica 52
I've came to the conclusion Taylor has no bad albums just like Gaga imo. The bonus tracks make this album even more great.

CanadaGoesGaga 2,003
Lavender Haze made me think we were getting a return to the Pop Taylor, Reputation era. Instead the album went back to the sort of low-key boring she’s been for the last few album cycles. Oh well.
LG666 1,832
Great songwriting but JFC, can we ban Jack Antonoff from producing albums already? His sound is so predictable. Taylor needs new, exciting people to work with. I was expecting and excited for something more pop and dark, like Reputation. In my opinion, this album isn't memorable. The marketing and hype is though.
