The album is totally fine for me. Cute, simple songs. Songs you might hear from a coffee shop artist. Good lyrics. I like them!

No shade, but I will never really understand why she's so huge. A get why she has a fanbase for sure. This album - like all  her work - is really solid. But the biggest name in pop? Makes no sense to me. She's like Ed Sheeran. I like both just fine. It's hard to dislike their music as they take zero risks.

I just don't get their insane popularity. Alas. Some things in life aren't for me to understand.

I know she's about to clean up though. Good for her.

I give the album a 5/10. Nothing special or new sounding. They sound like some of her other songs. I was really excited but now I’m kinda disappointed. :oprah:

I don't have a Diamond Heart.

This is a total stun tbh.

People are gonna come for it for being "simple" but it's...really not? It's the perfect mix of what she learned from folkmore applied to a more carefree style. It's like what she wanted to do with Lover but was not equipped with the skillset to do at the time.

The mixture of really personal and artistic lyrics along with some more campy and tongue in cheek lyrics (which she is FINALLY doing well after many albums of showing she just....did not understand how to do campy in a way that's not cringe) is a perfect balancing act.

It's a well rounded album that combines the best elements of her past works and redresses them with the improved skills she has now. A stunning, stunning album truly.

Anti-Hero, Vigilante ****, and Karma right now are my favorites.

I love this album, really feels like an accumulation of everything she has learned musically from 1989 to evermore, like can hear the traces of each album but its all wrapped up into its own unique album

The Tortured Poets Department is out NOW

The album is really good. The only song that really disappointed me was Snow On The Beach. :(

It takes a smart brunette to play a dumb blonde.

I can’t believe that Taylor literally buried Lana like that, I was so hyped:bradley: the song is good but why talk it up as a huge collab and then put THE Lana del Rey as backing vocals:awkney:

It may have been Lana's choice. Or it simply could've been a case of they wanted to write together and it developed into more but fell short of being a proper collab. However it's interesting to note that since Lana is credited as a feature, she's entitled to higher royalties even for such a reduced presence on the track.

Loving it so far, can’t wait to listen to it for the entire winter until I’m sick of it :glamourpuss: I need to give it a few listens before I know my favourites.

Snow on the beach is frustrating, it’s a great Taylor song but Lana’s input is more like a sample than a feature. I can’t hear her vocals anywhere else except the same 3 lines of ‘snow on the beach’ repeated.

Not the bore worms!
