Actually legally she could be “The Queen.” She is a queen consort owing to her being just a wife rather than ruling in her own right but every previous queen consorts were titled “HM The Queen” while their husbands were alive. So whether you like it or not she is Queen Camilla. The whole “HM The Queen Consort” as a formal title is purely a modern invention for her, just as with the Queen Mother. In Camilla’s case I figured it’s to soften the blow of her becoming queen and to avoid confusion with her late mother in law. There’s a chance they’d drop the word consort after the coronation. Couldn’t care less about the monarchy especially her but somehow I’m pedantic with things like this lol. Also Dua is the queen here.
