we do but only during general elections

during those 4 years between the next election, the party is free to elect a new PM amongst themselves if a lot of them are unhappy with how the PM is performing

Is the labour party great? Will there be a real difference if they are elected?

Liz Truss is so inspiring

if this woman managed to become PM, I can do anything I put my mind to, too

Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

Can someone from the UK explain why she was elected PM in the first place only some weeks ago if she has so few supporters among her own party? Did she do something unexpected/disasterous?:oprah:

In 2019 the conservatives won the election by a large majority (purely because they were the only party pushing brexit mandates) and boris Johnson was the main reason they won by such a large majority.

But earlier this year even after all the stories that boris and his mps broke our lock down rules with parties and illegal gatherings and even our health secutery at the time (who advocated for us to stay in and not touch anyone) was caught having an affair with a fellow mp... he was caught lying about the secual misconduct allegations of someone he employed directly.

So when this news broke mps started resigning left right and centre and calls for him to resign worsened. So because of this the tories had to replace him so they had a leadership race and went through stages of whittling down to just two. Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss. Truss won.

She wasn't voted by the general public she was voted by 80k of tory party members in and out of government.

She doesn't really have a mandate to lead but hey ho

He came, he saw, he gentrified

What if she refuses to resign because she has been elected fair and square by defeating rishi sunak? werent these the same people who elected her? its not even been one month and they want her out... that's disgusting.. sounds very misogynist to me.
