Overwhelming majority of spices used as preservatives have nothing to do with capsaicin. You insinuated a relationship between preservative spices and hot food tolerance of certain ethnic groups which is a double digit IQ move.

I honestly can't see the appeal in eating super spicy food. A little bit of heat is fair enough but when it's the kind of spicy where it just tastes like burning, what's enjoyable about it? It bugs me that some people say that the mildest of spices are tasteless or that any kind of non-spicy food is bland. I think they're the best ones because I can actually taste the depth of flavour and savour it without my mouth being on fire! Food should be comfortable and enjoyable, why would you want to eat something that's a test of endurance? I tried hot Cheetos so I could find out if they're really addictive as many claim and can safely say that I couldn't be addicted to them because, while I got used to them, they were ultimately too hot to be enjoyable. And I seriously had to swill water round my mouth and spit it out to truly clear my mouth from taste and stain residue afterwards. A much milder, tastier version are definitely my home country's version, which is hot Wotsits. Mild enough to be enjoyable while just having a little zing. Americans who've never tried them, you're missing out and unnecessarily torturing yourself by eating those artificially coloured hot Cheetos that stain your fingers, tongue and saliva.

I am saying capsaicin is only present in a small subset of spices (chilli peppers) that is uncommon as a preservation spice unlike salt that is one of the most conventional preservation spice throughout human history. 

You’re still sharing articles saying “capsaicin also has preservational properties” which hasn’t been denied by me at any point 😅 

Problem here is that you think capsaicin is THE preservation ingredient and that there is a relationship between hot food tolerance of certain ethnicities and spice use as a food preservation tool.
