Nicki Minaj was mad for no reason, Big Energy wasn't submitted for Rap

doesnt really help cause Sunshine(which according to this post was submitted for rap and rap performance) is the same. the chorus is sung and has two rap verses. while super freaky girl has no singing. both tracks are sonically similar.

yes but a whole article was put out just to specifically announce that this one song was being switched categories as per the recording academy. which is extremely odd. i would be upset as well. especially when the entirety of the song is rap and has been on top of the billboard rap chart for 8 weeks straight. 

even as a nicki fan i dont think this song should be nominated BUT what shes saying is right. and she should be upset with even the decisions made when it comes to submissions. 

i dont agree with the inclusion of latto, her point couldve been made without the comparison.

Nicki submitted to main rap category - Best Rap Performance and they moved it to main pop category - Pop Solo Performance. She wanted Latto song to be moved but Latto didn't submit Big Energy to main rap category. Melodic Rap is totally different category and Nicki didn't submit her song to it.
