Dennis 8,391
After suggesting that Crimea is russian and that Russia can annex Kherson, Zaparizhzhia, Luhansk and Donetsk if the sham referendums are redone under "U.N supervision", Musk now continues helping Putin, but this time with more practical means that could affect Ukraine's ability to win. Musk's company sent the Pentagon a letter telling them that SpaceX can no longer pay for such services and asks them to cover the 10-20M$ monthly cost for Starlink operations in Ukraine. Yes, this is the man who's worth 200B$+ and who just spent 44B$ buying twitter for his own ego, telling the government to pay for 10-20M$ (likely inflated cost) for providing Ukraine with starlink access. And so far, none of the other hundreds of billionaires are offering to take up the cost. In case anyone needed more proof that these creatures are just pure evil. They're never willing to spend even a tiny fraction of their wealth for any good cause. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/10/14/ukraine-elon-musk-starlink-ambassador-andrij-melnyk/
Monster647 444
I think Musk is speaking honestly in terms of what most wealthy people know enough to want and what most people would benefit from starting from middle class. That is ending Russia - Ukraine conflict at any cost to bring Russia back into global fold to bring down energy costs back to normal which is driving up inflation and interest rates. This is not to say this is the humane course of action. Ukraine and Ukrainians would suffer but global financial outlook would improve.

It is sad that there are people like you who are still pushing this nonsense. If Putin is weaponizing energy then the solution is to just surrender and let him kill people as he wishes so that we can buy his energy? Why not work towards cleaner energy instead and maybe this is an opportunity to speed up the transition. You'd be happy paying some bucks less in energy and you don't care if those bucks mean the suffering of millions of people in another country? And even if you sign peace tomorrow with Putin, that's not going to solve the problems you speak of. Remember, oil prices today are equal to what they were in January 2022 before the war. Covid disruption has a lot to do with the inflation we're experiencing today.

Stop putting words in my mouth if your brain capacity doesn’t allow for a neutral intellectual debate. I didn’t say what he said was right, your biases are blinding you. Economy 52,906
I wouldn't word this helping Putin. More like withdrawing help from Ukraine Either way tho. It's gross to commit to something u then don't wanna commit to considering what's at stake. He started this likely for positive PR then when the war dragged on longer than maybe he would of thought, it's no longer benefiting him and now he doesn't wanna keep paying for it now that he gets nothing out of it I think what makes this more revulting isn't that he didn't wanna do it. It's the fact that he started it, created dependence on it and now wants to go back on it. It's kind of like suddenly offering assistance to some elderly neighbour in need that isn't getting enough support from family then suddenly u decide u don't feel like being for them there anymore and leave them hanging. If u don't want the responsibility don't offer it innitially in the first place
