Side note: is the melody/instrumental in suburbia interpolated from another song? It sounds SO familiar but I can’t put my finger on it

I was thinking the same! I'm getting a cross between I'm Still Standing - Elton John and Maneater - Daryl Hall & John Oates

I knew I would love Call On Me but Pineapple Slice is literally making me feel outside of my body like what did they put in this absolutely GODLY song?!

I don't understand pineapples, so I don't eat bananas.

tyler k

hello every song on this album is simply fantastic like W O W from instrumental experimental to the depth and honesty in those lyrics... this album is so so so good truly pop perfection

right now my top 5 are

Grapefruit

No One Dies From Love

Call On Me

Attention *****

Kick in the Head

but like every song here is so damn good even the ballads. I love how cohesive yet explorative it feels overall.

it's such an extremely polished and well-formed project. also loving the scenes/short film she put together to display the different characters she's created for these songs. something about it gives me Electra Heart, just from a conceptual standpoint.

the best pop album of the year for me. i'm so sorry CRASH & MUNA....

Opulence

Didn’t really pay this rollout much attention but listening now and the album bangs!

Does anyone else think Kick in the Head would suit Selena Gomez, TL’s register in it almost sounds like her sometimes in this song

Sneaky Oliver

Tove never misses when it comes to albums. I think Dirt Femme is less catchy than Sunshine Kitty. Not a problem though.

I’m so lost in the VISUALS. She always serves MVs but this time it feels…lackluster?? I thought she had a film thing (the 40min video she posted) but it’s just random videos of her walking in various sets  ??

Mister Gaga

I kinda abandoned Tove Lo with Blue Lips (haven't listened to her 2019 album yet), but i gave the chance to this one and...oh my god, it's fantastic. Her best album so far. All the songs are good, some great  Sorry Tove Lo  we love her again
