Night Vision 3,006 Posted October 11, 2022 Share Posted October 11, 2022 Days after Jamie Lee Curtis revealed she has spoken to Disney about the possibility of a Freaky Friday sequel, TMZ is also reporting that there are "rumblings" that a sequel to Mean Girls is also in the works: Lindsay Lohan is down to film a sequel to "Freaky Friday" with Jamie Lee Curtis ... which means both the OG stars are on board if Disney wants to make a second movie. Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ … she'd be interested in a 'FF' sequel, but she hasn't heard anything from the Mouse House, at least not yet. Jamie's been vocal recently about potentially making a sequel to her 2003 film with Lindsay ... she's mentioned the possibility at least twice during her media blitz for her new 'Halloween' movie. Our sources say Lindsay hasn't spoken to Jamie about doing a sequel ... but we're told she's heard rumblings about another installment of not only "Freaky Friday," but also "Mean Girls." ryanxjensen 134 Posted October 11, 2022 Share Posted October 11, 2022 bring back a sensible amount of the entire original cast, shoot it in the same high school and not rely on gimmicky quotes and phrases used in the original, like a clean fresh script written by Tina Fey & Amy Poehler it could have a chance of success everytime Hollywood tries one of these sequels where they only get 1 or 2 of the main cast to return, it never truly feels like a sequel, it just feels like “hey, remember THIS person! They’re doing that THING from the first movie again!!” you just can’t capture that magic back into the bottle with nostalgia alone. OR if they did a total spin on it like ‘Who murdered Regina George!?’ THEN maybe they have something to work with.. just my opinion Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

gagzus 14,453 Posted October 11, 2022 Share Posted October 11, 2022 a sequel titled Mean Moms would be the best case scenario tbh. have the OG cast back and have Regina be basically the head of a suburban committee that they all live in where she essentially "runs" the neighbourhood. A synopsis i've always though of is; Cady could move into the neighbourhood with her family, without realising she's there, until they have a meeting of the committee and Regina is revealed to be the leader. (Think Dotty in Wandavision) Then a load of hilarity could ensue. Karen could be the local weather woman, Gretchen could still be Regina's right-hand, Janice could be Damien's housemate with his husband in sort of like a friendship-love triangle thing. Cady's kids could fight with Regina's and have Regina's mom live with Regina and her family as a live-in grandma/nanny type thing.
