He will not stop until he destroys everything, that's the problem. His pride is too big, he's insane, there needs to be some kind of assassin*****. I dont wanna say it cus like government can read us everywhere, but it's the only thing I can think of to end Putin at this point

Oh wow. This is actually a worse take than any “NATO is an anti-russia terrorist org so no wonder they popped off.” This isn’t the thread to talk about this but the threat is absolutely not imaginary and I highly suggest doing more research into this…

The threat is not imaginary per say, but it is highly unlikely simply due to how the world conducts it’s affairs today.

When most people think about WWIII, they think of a conflict similar to the previous two, but that will not happen. That kind of war doesn’t happen anymore—at least not with the military superpowers—and hasn’t for many decades now. Gone are the days of hundreds of thousands on a battlefield from each side going at each other, wars are fought primarily with technology with as little person to person contact as feasibly possible.

Because of this, wars are typically fought today by proxy. The likelihood of direct engagement between two powers is small because it’s impractical. Wars will be fought via smaller indirect channels. Think of it like Vietnam. Vietnam was essentially the US vs. the Soviets via Vietnam. It was two superpowers warring indirectly.

If a larger conflict involving the west breaks out, that is the likely way it will be fought. That is not to say there won’t be more casualties or to say it wouldn’t be terrible, but a war on the scale and the level of decimation of the previous two world wars is not really something we today will see.

That also means that many countries have no obligation to join in fighting as proxy wars are not typically declared wars as they are simply larger powers puppeteering prior existing conflicts—think Korea, Vietnam, Syria. The likelihood of all Europe and North America combining forces to push against an Axis like power is slim to none.

And lastly, the “nuclear threat”, as much as war dogs and fear mongers would like you to believe, it won’t happen. Since the end of the second world war, the major powers have built nuclear arsenals and have hovered their fingers over the button but yet nothing has happened. Why?

Because the threat of use of a nuke is more powerful than actually using one.

Putin, Kim Jon Un, they’re crazy yes but their goals are also specific: domination and self preservation. Neither is achievable via a nuclear conflict and despite what the media may want you to believe, both of them are aware of that and both of them are aware that there is no chance that they win a nuclear conflict.

Don't kill Putin, that's giving him the quick easy way out, not a real punishment. He has to pay, in life.

Are you serious??? Ever heard of Putin?

I’m sure Serbian media is throughly blaming the west. Not only is Serbia aligned with Russia, it has its own ambitions in the Balkans.

Russian civilian reaction to this is pretty disgusting from what I’ve seen. Equating the strategic attack on infrastructure to an attack on a children’s playground. It’s starting to feel like all the reasonable Russians have either left or been imprisoned and the ones left are just the sheep willing to follow out of ignorance or out of fear.

Moldova should better ask for NATO protection until it's too late. Once Russians are moving in the country, Romania would not be able to do anything, will only be able to watch the country being conquered as we know we can't delve into WW3. To give you an idea how bad the situation is, Moldova only found out about the missiles from Romania and Ukraine. They couldn't even send messages to their population if they exploded there. Moldova's Army has less people than views on a popular-ish thread on GGD, the country is simply defenceless and I don't know what it needs to happen for all people to understand it.

This war is not going to get better. It is not pessimism, it is not paranoia, but an objective conclusion drawn from what is going on. Each month we climb up the escalatory ladder.

You shouldn't worry for something that is not in your control! We all need to be level-headed and think factually, which doesn't mean living in fear but taking care of our small square of existence as best as we can. Be nice with your family and the ones around you and do your job in great conscience. We also don't know the future. I also want to clarrify that I said this because I see many people simply pretending risks do not exist as an emotional defence mechanism which I find harmful.

I am not watching Serbian media, as I am not very happy with it. But I always read both sides, trying to figure out what is the truth. Don't be narrow minded and blindly read what EU is serving you. Russia and EU are both extremes. But EU is constantly provoking them knowing that Putin could create chaos. I am not supporting him, but also, EU is not an angel. You guys should read more. Dont create judgement without informing yourself more. I dont like Nato, I dont like Russian politics. I dont like war. I dont like both sides. Somebody needs to fix this. Eu should stop provoking them. Done.
