 I don't mind odd alternative methods as they seem fun and interesting to me, but this one specifically seems like such a scary situation to be in, even by choice.

I remember this and just not getting it. No shade to Marina, but Gaga needed therapy not whatever this was. But I think she was in a lot of pain and was willing to try anything to help.

ARTPOP was really special. 

Marina taught her all types of breathing methods, those she brought into her singing voice... "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" 

I don't think she was left completely alone in the woods. There was a camera there after all. It was a performance art piece.
