Killa 15,828
Emancipation of mimi was bigger, I’m afraid it was a wave and it had like 5 hits, one being like a star is born.

He had some downs but was always afloat with some small hits that kid Laroi collab and peaches maybe biggest hits since the endless stream of hits that were the purpose era. But for justin was more about image and delivering good product. The collab with skrillex was a rennaissance for him
Rahrahbitchson 17,588
I agree that The Emancipation of Mimi is the greatest comeback, i mean We Belong Together was named song of the decade and blocking Shake it Off from number #1, honestly thats queen behaviour only Mariah could pull off, BUT i love how Gaga manage her career after ARTPOP and giving that fresh image from ASIB i mean i found it interesting how many people didnt know how she looks like (in her natural face without the extra things) so for the GP and many other people that was not into her in her early career it was like a new completely artist but knowing damn well it was that crazy girl who was running the world a few years ago, so i think that it is very interesting how she rebuild her career after ARTPOP Quizás bastaba respirar, sólo respirar, muy lento...💙

The collab with skrillex was a rennaissance for him I can definitely see why they choose to put Purpose as one of the biggest, the kid was having media and people against him, all the Selena drama and all the mistakes he did as a teenager, i mean Sorry, What do you mean, Love yourself all big hits, with cute songs in the album too, life is worth living, ill show you, his collab with Halsey, they are all good songs, he was everywhere again but this time with more support from GP and not only the believers, how he redeem himself with that album after all the hate and mistakes is something i will always admire from him although i was never a fan of him but all the hate he was receiving it was something very heavy i feel bad for him, it is cute to watch him more mature even now in Justice, in the video of Lonely you can see and feel all the pain he was going through and makes you think sometimes people are very cruel and rough to others without thinking how they can feel. The Selena drama, the''pee'' drama, his cringe stripping to a fashion show, his drastic change to his public persona and of course his arrest in Miami in 2014. Everyone though he was over. But he came back in 2015 with Purpose. A great pop record with many hits such as ''Sorry'' and ''Love Yourself''. He has back at the top.

LadyxGaGa 1,272
yall i do agree now mariah's comeback was bigger, she seemed rly big in the 90's so alot of pressure was on her switching labels and she failed miserably, but came back critically acclaimed like me
EGOT2027 10,807
the sound of music tribute was the true beginning of The Pivot. there’s a video of the oscar producers from that year saying gaga told them if she pulled it off it could change the direction of her career. she knew what she was doing. there’s an interview with bobby somewhere talking about the same thing. gaga was everywhereeeee that week…the locals ate it up. and it’s basically only been uphill since

dimitristhe 1,553
The Emancipation of Mimi is the biggest comeback in pop history. After the underperformance of Glitter and the lukewarm response to Charmbracelet, people thought her career was over. She really tried with Gliiter (the Soundtrack only, the movie was awful), but the lack of interest and promo made it a huge flop for Mariah’s standards. Charmbracelet mend to be a comeback album, Through The Rain is an emotional ballad that connects with her alleged breakdown, Boy (I Need You) has that catchy sound and a killer video, Mariah was looking better than ever and was promoting the album like she never did before, but the sales were not what they should be. She even had to change the venues for her Charmbracelet tour from big arenas to small theatres because there wasn’t any interest from the public in the US (Many of the theatre dates weren’t sold out, but her international dates were a huge success, especially in Asia). In the 90’s she was a huge touring force, selling out stadiums around the world, selling millions of albums and singles and suddenly she declined in just 3 years. With TEOM she managed to sell over 10 million albums worldwide (over 13 million with streaming), produce her biggest hit song to date, We Belong Together (6million in the US alone and over 650.000 in the UK), go on a very successful world tour, make 4 other hit records (It’s Like That, Shake It Off, Don’t Forget About Us and Get Your Number), make deals, ads, block herself from the #1 spot on the HOT 100, get numerous accolades, Grammy nominations etc. She was the IT girl with just one album. That’s what we call a comeback, in 2 months her reputation highly improved and everyone was talking about her and her music. On the other hand, Gaga never had that hit album right away. After ARTPOP, it was C2C, then Joanne and then ASIB. She released her hit album after 5 years. She fixed her reputation and image with her pure talent, she didn’t went for the Mariah way, cause Mariah was showcasing her talent even when her albums underperformed. Gaga showed the world that she can really really really sing, she can really act and eventually write a timeless and critically acclaimed hit song (after ARTPOP). I don’t underestimate what Gaga did, because it was more complicated and well planed. Shallow and the whole ASIB era was what made her a legend, it was that thing that was missing from her career (like Kylie’s CGYOOMH, Madonna’s ROL, Beyoncé’s self-titled album, MJ’s Thriller video and era etc.) Fun fact: The Charmbracelet World Tour is Mariah’s biggest tour, with 69 dates around the world and an estimated 62 million gross in total. That’s impressive if we consider that half of the dates were in the US and the first 25 US dates grossed only 6 million. When we're not together tell me everything's gonna be alright
Tayko 1,203
I don't think that Gaga's career was that much in danger. She's vocaly so talented & even if A Star is Born trully saved her career as an "Ultra Star", i really think that talent always win. if you look at Katy Perry she has nothing incredible on her bag instead of beauty & a fun colorfull world she really shine no where. Artist like Katy Britney & a lot of others popstar from the 2010 are slowly dying cause they are not famous for a talent but for the iconic names & songs. Gaga Beyoncé & others are timeless cause they are incredible at something they are real artist to me. Sorry for my english btw 🇫🇷 My english sucks
