Elton revealed they are releasing physical CD singles for Hold Me Closer and he is asking fans to choose their favourite.

The winner will be the cover of the officially released physical cd.

"It's been incredible to see all the amazing fan art and now the choice is yours - vote for your favourite! The winning two designs will be the official artwork for the Hold Me Closer Limited edition CD Singles available for pre-order from Tuesday.

Voting closes Monday 8pm BST / 12pm PT before pre-order starts from Tuesday!"

not all singles end up being on albums

britney and elton's main demographic is probably more likely to buy a CD than a younger audience

It's just for collection obviously. I've bought some Gaga singles like Applause, Born This Way, Stupid Love, etc. it's fun to have.

Believe it or not, that was normal before streaming and digital downloads existed. Now, CDs are liked by fans and collectors in the same way as vinyl (which one could argue has less use than CD and obviously digital).

I think the original cover will also be released too, so 3 physical cds.
