ristretto 883
2008: age 10. vivid memory of seeing just dance on TV and asking my sister if the woman on the TV was a ”one hit wonder” (i had just heard her call someone that) 2009: age 11. now obsessed with this woman called lady gaga. my family were equally worried and happy. saw the fame ball august 2nd! 2010: age 12. spending my entire summer break from school staying up until the sun came up to chat with people on GGD and other forums, to match American timezones. 2011: age 13. came out as gay on my 13th birthday while listening to BTW in the car with my mom. it was released on my birthday. this happened exactly during the final chorus of Scheiße 2012: age 14. spent the entire year on pop forums, made friends and even an online boyfriend and saw the BTWB twice. 2013: age 15. Applause leaking when I was on a remote island at a summer camp. total panic and ecstasy 2014: age 16. first year of high school, so naturally i introduced gaga to all my new friends and made them obsessed with her deep cuts. 2015: age 17. grew tired of her, which already begun in 2014 after artrave. no fond memories unfortunately 2016: age 18. listening to the radio release of perfect illusion with my ex in the middle of the night. he hated it. we broke up the next week 2017: age 19. my friends texted me the coachella setlist as it went on whilst i was h*gh out of my mind and i started freaking out over the deep cuts. watched the entire show after the party which was like at 8am in the morning. then went to school at 10 2018: age 20. saw JWT twice and met our lady 2019: age 21. i remember nothing happening gaga-wise this year. 2020: age 22. completely losing it to Alice during my first run through of Chromatica. i was reminded of the small boy i used to be who was completelt obsessed with this weird woman and her insane performance art. it hit me how quick i had grown up, with her. 2021: age 23. dawn of chromatica was honestly a highlight for a music nerd like me! 2022: age 24. got to enjoy the Chromatica ball with a group of friends that i have made along the way these past 13 years of stanning. some of the people i went with were friends i have known for over a decade and some were people i met just last year, but we had such a beautiful experience together and it felt like i was surrounded by my true family
Reject False Icons 4,679
First of all great idea for a thread 2008: I didn’t know her yet, too young 2009: having a desktop and internet and obsessing with her videos with my sister, 2010: listening to her songs everywhere and painting the fame Lightning and TFM black tears for trick-or-treat 2011: creating FB and TW mainly to follow her and till today they are my accounts 2012: crying for being too young to not being able to see Gaga in my country 2013:saving so much to get an iPod to finally Stan Gaga and fully live the ARTPOP era specially waking up for school and playing ARTPOP on the app’s music player 2014: blasting G.U.Y alone at my house when the MV premiered, it was SOOO LOUD 2015: following everything from the Oscar’s but not being able to watch the performance 2016: Making a lyric video for my class for Perfect illusion 2017: Watching the Super Bowl HTS at my cousins house and making a huge event 2018: Going for the first time to a V.I.P cinema to watch a star is born early and crying in the taxi back to my house 2019: watching enigma premiere on a poor livestream 2020: thinking I was gonna start a better chapter in my life when Stupid love was officially announced 2021: nothing 2022: watching the cbt on a poor livestream
Railing 2,367
2013: iTunes Festival, which was one of the best shows of her career and one that partly ruined the era by fueling "why doesn't this sound like the demo" debates for half the album. Extra shoutouts to the Muppets Thanksgiving special and the dozens of fake instrumentals claiming to be from ARTPOP. 2014: ArtRAVE livestream on Yahoo, which was also an iconic performance and had her kick off the LG5 hype with that "clock is ticking" comment. 2015: "I Want Your Love" music video for Tom Ford. I still think that version is better than the official release. 2016: Rainbow countdown page for "Perfect Illusion", only for Joanne to be a muted pastel desert cowgirl era with crop tops and short shorts. 2017: "The Cure" was dropped at Coachella, which had the most random but appreciated setlist. Gaga was also promoting "Million Reasons" like her life depended on it, even after the "John Wayne" video dropped. 2018: Gaga was posting that black and white Enigma concept shoot on Instagram, which made her consistently lose followers and have everybody speculating over LG6 (including that it was AP: Act II because of that damned octopus plushie). 2020: Stupid Love leaking and getting played in clubs everywhere + that fan yelling the title during that Enigma livestream. 2021: AP: Act II petition, followed by Gaga ghosting DJWS whilst BloodPop was tried to drown out the hype with tweets about the Dawn of Chromatica concept. 2022: Insert Haus Labs promotional statement here. misham0nster 130
I pretended not to like her for sooo long because I was in deep denial of my sexuality as a kid and I went to a Catholic grade school until 2008 lol. I only have a few notable ones. 2011: I start listening to the songs Born This Way, Edge of Glory, even LoveGame sometimes as a guilty pleasure lol 2012: I like enough songs that I decide to listen to all of Born This Way. I was officially a fan. My high school gf (lol) was kinda uncomfortable with it because she was worried I was gay (and she was right, but to be fair so was she). 2012: Driving my little brother to church because my mom made us go, then Alejandro came on the radio as we were pulling into the parking lot. I made us sit in the car and listen to the whole song before we went in lol. 2013: Every week when the new ARTPOP single dropped, I'd listen to it with my group of friends who hung out in my dorm, and we'd geek out about it a little even though about half of them were straight guys who would probably have never listened to it otherwise. We were into dance music at the time so we'd listen to the BTW remix album when doing homework or playing games sometimes. 2014: This is when the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge was a thing. I did mine as a janky copycat of Lady Gaga's video lmao it was probably my most watched Facebook video when I still used FB. 2016: I lived with a friend who also liked Gaga but he was extremely into Florence Welch. We were both sooooo excited when we found out she was gonna be featured on Joanne! 2020: Staying up to listen to Chromatica for the first time with my housemate. 2022: My first concert, pit tickets to Chromatica Ball in DC! Would you love me if I ruled the world?

Juanlittlem 41,953
2009: Downloading Poker Face and Just Dance and a Bad Romance demo with someone speaking over it in some parts 2010: I wasn't that big of a fan so I missed everything but let's say the meat dress 'cause everyone knew about it. 2011: Born This Way being the first album I bought with my own money + sneaking into the computer area of my high school library 'cause MTN music video leaked. 2012: Going to the Monster Ball with my mom and mistaking some guys with a Scotland flag for the Tenerife flag 2013: Promoting Applause on the streets putting up pictures of the single cover everywhere. 2014: Going to the artRAVE with Early Entry with my mom and Gaga jumping to the crowd, I got to touch her ass, her face and almost snatched her wig 2015: Being obsessed with the I Want Your Love music video and hoping for an album with that sound. 2016: Being dissapointed with those Perfect Illusion visuals after the cool teasers she posted. 2017: Going to the JWT with my mom, we waited for her at the hotel with like other 20-30 monsters the whole and we sang, but she never came down 'cause she was taking pictures for insta Then seeing her leaving her hotel for the show and her waving at me 'cause I was the only one who didn't chase her car and I just screamed "Gagaaa" while she left. 2018: Those supposed scrapped Enigma pics. 2019: Being dissapointed with Las Vegas' shows. 2020: Buying tickets for the Chromatica Ball knowing damn well that it wasnt happening because of Covid. 2021: Waiting for Covid to be over so we could go to the Chromatica Ball. 2022: Finally going to the Chromatica Ball with my mom (yeah, shocking). thatslife 86
2012: Jumping on my mini trampoline screaming along to boys boys boys every day for several months 2013: Seeing Applause all over Times Square 2014: Goosebumps erupting over my entire body at artRAVE when I heard her voice during ARTPOP 2015: GGD had the episodes of Hotel uploaded and it freaked me out when one of the dudes burned. That or watching the Grammys livestream and literally screaming out of excitement when Cheek to Cheek won 2016: Listening to Joanne for the first time whilst admitted in a psych ward Spoiler Okay this is kind of personal but I was admitted to the psych ward when Cheek to Cheek, Joanne, ASIB soundtrack (and movie), and Chromatica was released. It's a freaky coincidence and I'm glad I'm doing better now. When Love for Sale and Dawn of Chromatica came out I was at home. 2017: Thinking about her half-time performance the entire day at school and racing home to watch the recording on TV 2018: Crying at the movies and seeing ASIB like four times 2019: Watching the BTS of the met gala just reminded me why I was a fan. It was such a sweet video and her performance was 10/10 2020: Waking up super early in the psych ward and listening to Chromatica when it was first released. The nurses were super nice and let me use my phone really early. They knew how much I loved Gaga. It's kind of weird considering the setting but it was one of the best moments in my life. I can remember the goosebumps that erupted all over my body and the tears that I shed. Those first few lines of Alice? 911? Replay? I was OBSESSED and it made me feel understood. It's truely dancing through the pain. 2021: I was so happy she recorded Night and Day because I had been wanting her to cover it for a while. It was sweet 2022: Probably going to YouTube and searching LauiiiHD for Chromatica Ball videos some things never change
thisboyisamonster 765
2016: THRIVING on perfect illusion while reeling from my break up 2017: watching her super bowl performance being covered on the news at work, and ofc the performance itself at home, with my "on and off special friend" at the time etc. 2018: the ASIB trailer, shallow, the movie, the press, all of that era <3 2019: her oscar speech, my inability to stop listening to the ASIB soundtrack 2020: watching ROM MV for the first time (during premiere), listening to Alice on repeat through the year, assigning ARUTW as "our song" to a different "on and off special friend" at the time 2021: The HoG trailers 2022: losing it at a local club when Bad Romance came on (with a bestie who also loves classic Gaga), listening to a snippet of her interview where she says "bus no sleep another club" meshed into a techno mix at a techno day festival (this happened for real)
