Labels need to stop announcing albums and then delaying them until the artist is able to secure a hit or this will keep happening. Secure a hit and then announce the album

Also, if the albums is being reworked, the label is even more dumb with the losses from having to repress

So what was the point of pushing the release date if they had physicals copies ready?

If they wanted a better time to release it, I can understand a few weeks, but over 3 whole months? And then the album leaked and now this?

If they were going to make her rework the album, they were willing to repress everything?

The whole thing is a mess no matter where you look a it, I feel sorry Ava, this was one big **** up since the date change :saladga:

What a mess. Just let the girl release her album and satisfy her fans.

Ava has not had any major hits since SBP so either the label is a mess at managing her or the music isn’t clicking with people.

This is so sad, I feel so bad for Ava. I honestly don’t think that I’ve ever seen a messier album rollout than this one. Atlantic Records really need to sort their sh*t out and release the album ASAP before the whole album leaks online in HQ.

My question is…. If the album was originally planned for October 14th why did they ship out the vinyl a whole month before that??

Don’t wanna assume anything, but the first thing that came to mind when I saw the vinyl was starting to be sent out was “PR Stunt”

Imagine the trouble Amazon would be in shipping out an album 4 months before release date (or even 1 month before the previous release date) without the label’s green light…

We don’t really need to talk too much, show each other what we know 🦋

I agree it could be a PR stunt, then Ava Max can have her “pop emergency” moment which will get people talking and have the curious gp checking out what the fuss is around this “Max” girl.

I honestly think you're spot on with this one.

No label would delay an album for more than a week or two if they had all those physicals already produced. Why would they delay the album and then have to pay to store tens of thousands of vinyls for 3+ months AND risk it leaking at any point before release?

This is so obviously a lame publicity stunt and we're suckers for even entertaining it.

I'd be much more open to Ava and her music if everything about her wasn't so contrived and calculated. That f*cking maxcut hair, the Gaga comparisons and now this lame stunt? Just make good music girl... and work on your stage presence :glamourpuss:

has a delayed release ever actually helped somebody's career? There's no saving unpopular music. that sweet but psycho sized audience is just not there for her anymore.
